PAWS (Pound Animal Welfare Society of Montclair, Inc.) is a 501(c)3 charity dedicated to the rescue and adoption of at-risk dogs and cats pulled from the streets, high-kill shelters, and other urgent situations. PAWS focuses on animals who may get overlooked elsewhere, perhaps because of age, looks, health, breed, or size. Founded in 1977, PAWS is an all-volunteer organization that has been serving northern NJ communities for over 45 years.
