US Naval Sea Cadet Corps Fundraiser

The mission of the Cadet program is to Build Leaders of Character- for ages 10 through completion of High school. The program was established in 1962- a youth leadership development program sponsored by the US Navy. The 2 programs in the Sea Cadets are Navy League Cadet for ages 10 -13 and the Naval Sea Cadet Corps for ages 13 to completion of High School. The Cadets drill once per month under a military bearing format and have training opportunities throughout the year. Programs range from aviation, medical training, field training, police science, culinary, veterinary medicine, seamanship, photojournalism and sailing. The benefits of membership allow the Cadets to wear the US Naval uniform, character building, leadership, learning new skills, and pride in a job well done. The US Naval Sea Cadets on a resume proves the individual possesses leadership and perseverance. There is no commitment to join any Military Service after completion of the Sea Cadet program.
Funds from this fundraiser goes directly to the Vollrath Division to help us provide external experiences and fun team-building activities. Examples- to cover the cost of a bus to go to different experiences. We have used a bus to visit Fire Departments, Military bases to tour Blackhawk Helicopters, to the airport to help with honor flights ect. and home opportunities such as special meals or cost of supplies for hands-on activities.
